Toward the pinnacle of physical expression.
Parkour is the ultimate art of movement—an exercise discipline that trains both body and mind through actions like running, jumping, and climbing.

“Only stepping on the white lines of a crosswalk,” “walking along a curb without falling,” “jumping from slightly higher steps”—those instinctive, playful movements we all find ourselves doing. Parkour is the sport that embodies those very impulses.

The JAPAN PARKOUR LEAGUE is a one-of-a-kind competition, adopting a “three-discipline integrated team format” rarely seen anywhere in the world. By harnessing the freedom and adaptability inherent in parkour, it aims to create a new culture in sports.

— Comment on the League Launch —
Parkour is the ultimate art of movement. You decide the direction you want to go and move freely toward it. For me, launching this league is also part of parkour—it’s an action taken because I believe it’s what the parkour industry needs right now.

Our guiding philosophy is “TOGETHER WITH ATHLETE.”
Together with athletes, fans, and corporate partners, we aim to foster the culture of parkour and build an ecosystem that becomes a source of hope for the next generation.

Participating Athletes
Starting with Japan’s freestyle champion Kaito Onuki and speed discipline standout Yuma Nagata, the league brings together top-level athletes who are active both domestically and internationally across all disciplines.

Roadmap
Season Kickoff: March 2026
Number of Teams: 8 teams (4 teams will compete in the opening round)
Future Outlook: A four-event annual series will be held, culminating in the “FINAL STAGE,” where the top four teams will compete on a specially constructed indoor stage.

Purpose & Social Significance
JPL is not only a competitive platform but also functions as an educational platform in collaboration with local communities, corporations, and educational institutions. The spirit of parkour—overcoming obstacles through free thinking—embodies both the multifaceted perspective fostered by liberal arts education and the courage to take on challenges cultivated through entrepreneurship education. Through the performances of top athletes and diverse partnerships, JPL aims to unlock the limitless potential of every individual.
